John Mackey of Whole Foods now has an open invitation to enjoy the taste of my dick

"A careful reading of both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution will not reveal any intrinsic right to
health care, food or shelter. That's because there isn't any. This "right" has never existed in America." - John Mackey of Whole Foods Market

"There is no intrinsic right in the Constitution to a jury of your peers. This "right" has never existed in America. Same with the government making paper money. And primary elections. And marriage. And the Air Force." - Jjon Makki of Whole Foods

"Obama is a socialist for doing this health care thing, because in socialism 'the government controls the means of production.' [Actual in-context quote with poorly cherry-picked definition of Socialism] Wait, no, I said that last year. Now I've decided he's a fascist in regards to the same subject. Those two terms are totally interchangeable, aren't they?" - Jon Makey of Whole Foods

"Did I mention that the deductible at my store is usually closer to the high end of '$300 to $1,800 annually, based on years of service' and that as recently as three years ago we didn't provide health benefits for mental health medication?" - Dijon Mackeral of Whole Foods

Even if you could previously have afforded to shop at Whole Paycheck Foods, I urge you not to now, or at least to encourage the employees to take the fight to their boss, since in the past he has let his "team members" (read: employees) decide on what will and won't be offered by his health insurance.

For some people, it really IS just about the money.

Wasn't he going around under another name on the internet being a total troll regarding the competition and doing it for like seven years?

I also sort of laugh when he says Americans eat crap and how he subscribes to this vegan diet with no oils and YET YET he sells all the things he espouses as being bad for Americans.

He is a fascinating individual. He refers to Obama as a fascist/socialist and yet he works with Mrs. Obama on the whole health initiative. And by fascinating I mean a self-serving twat who would hump a woodpile if it meant more money in his pocket.

I totally forgot about that!

Anything that comes out of his mouth regarding "healthy" foods is bullshit. One need only stroll his aisles to see that he sells more healthy foods than other places but scarcely to the degree that he attempts to convince people of.

He runs a grocery store. An expensive one with some options you can't get elsewhere. He needs to stop pretending he's a nutrition consultation location.

I have a serious hate on for that dude.
I have friends who work at genuine food co-ops and the like. Little ones. And they do their best to offer their employees really good benefits. The one in my home-town is a great example of that. They work damn hard to provide a good work environment and salary and people stay for a good long time.
And they openly acknowledge they sell healthy things and some not so healthy things, but they are very much about the people. (from working with local farmers to local vendors selling crafts.)

He is a selfish dickface.

fairyarmadillo and I are really lucky and live three blocks from our local place, the Common Ground Food Co-Op.

They see us several times a week. :)

My Mom was like one of the first 100 people to get a membership when the co-op started thirty-some years ago. She loves blowing away new employees when they ask for her number. "It's 87." "87 what?" "No. Just 87." "Damn. DAMN." "Exactly."
There are some people who started there when the place began and they are.still.there. I think they may keep working after they die through some kind of zombie work scheme.

Yep, I'm never setting foot inside a Whole Foods again. I already hated them for a variety of reasons, but this guy...seriously! He has me muttering "come the revolution, comrade, you vill NOT be spared..."

As a democratic socialist, I cannot endorse violent revolution.

I can still endorse kicking this bastard in the balls.

Nemesis, I am forced by cruel circumstance to agree with you entirely.

That guy makes ordinary asses look like adorable flower factories. Seriously, he's like what would have happened if Godzilla had been an ass instead of a lizard. It's only a matter of time before he destroys Tokyo.
